Job Overview: Chicago Fire Football Club is seeking a People & Culture Specialist to join our team! This individual will report to the Vice President, People & Culture and will be responsible for carrying out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruiting and talent management, DEI, strategic planning, and employee engagement.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Support full cycle recruiting for Chicago Fire, FC ensuring an exceptional candidate experience throughout the process.
  • Draft offer letters, new hire and promotion, and support in the offer process.
  • Process all company background checks and escalate, as needed.
  • Assist with HR audits, metrics and reporting.
  • Maintain employee records ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through continuous audit and review.
  • Create and manage internal HR forms, files, documents, and compliance requirements.
  • Help drive employee engagement, DE&I initiatives, and training efforts.
  • Collaborate and support HR team on new hire orientations and onboarding process.
  • Support and champion change within the organization.
  • Drive cross-departmental collaboration in new and current HR initiatives.
  • Maintain human resource information system (HRIS), update employee records when changes occur, and compile reports as requested.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Complete verification of employment requests and MLS reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • 2+ years of previous Human Resources experience, previous recruiting experience preferred.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, events that fall on nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Creative and solution focused individual.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, adapt to different scenarios, interact with all levels of employees and collaborate effectively cross-departmentally.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail, accuracy in work product and focus on service.
  • A high degree of personal integrity, sound judgment in decision-making, discretion with confidential matters and sensitive information.
